Has W.H.O. withheld information on corona virus owing to Chinese pressure ?

Ever since the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic, there have been allegations against the China and WHO for they had deliberately suppressed the prominent information about the Virus being spreading worldwide.

The Trump administration has made serious accusations of foul play on the part of World Health Organization (WHO).

US allegedly stated the WHO being responsible for hiding the early warnings of the Contagious virus infection and since then had stopped funding to the World Health Organization.

In a fresh wave of events, a German magazine published that,” the world might have saved a precious four to six week in taking the defensive measures against corona virus pandemic had WHO ignored the Chinese President Xi Jinping intervention to delay a warning about human to human transmission.

The German magazine cited the country’s intelligence agency. However, Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, BND, declined to comment on the issue though not denied.

 The World Health Organisation has dismissed the allegations being untrue and baseless.

The United Nations (UN) agency in a statement declared a German magazine’s report about a telephonic conversation between WHO Chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Chinese President Xi Jinping undertaken on January 21 was “unfounded and untrue”

Till 13th January, cases have not been started to surface beyond China and there were no evidence of human to human transmission also.

On 13th January, a very first case of corona virus infection confirmed outside China. on 21st January officials of WHO visited the epicenter of corona virus, Wuhan.

WHO now in recent developments responds, “after china confirmed the human to human transmission of the new corona virus on 20th January WHO officials issued a statement two days later on the evidence of human-to-human transmission in Wuhan though been surfaced yet further investigation was necessary then.

W.H.O. declared the infectious disease being pandemic (formally known as “Public Health Emergency of International Concern”) on 30th January.Also, the organization has officially named the disease as COVID-19 later on 11th February.

On 27th April, 2020 WHO DG in a statement repeated its powerlessness to enforce their advisories. He added, countries’ willingness to accept or reject our guidance is all up to them

On 30 January 2020, WHO triggered its highest global emergency alert 🚨 by declaring COVID-19 a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. At the time, there were fewer than 100 cases and no deaths outside China.
